This week’s Viral Friday #1 position goes to Kræftens Bekæmpelse Mascha Vang vs Solarium. Danish model and sex object Mascha Vang strips to her birthday costume in a viral video for the Danish Cancer Fund. The slogan for the campaign against solaria is “White is the new brown”. The runner up spot is for Toom Baumarkt: Selbstbauidee. A super enthusiastic DIY guy builds his own speed bump using materials from Toom Baumarkt, all this to compete in a competition to win €5000. 2 Guys 1 Cup 2 Guys 1 Cup completes this week’s top 3. After the 2 Girls 1 Cup phenomenon one month ago the virus still isn’t over. Lots of video reactions and spoofs appear on the internet, 2 Guys 1 Cup being the most popular with almost 1 million views.

A first wedding dance is a special, once in a lifetime moment. But a growing number of wedding couples are fed up with the awkward, dull traditional first dance. They are jumping on the latest cool and hip trend and hire dance instructors for choreographed first dances. To surprise their guests, brides and grooms are encouraged to start with a traditional slow dance, and then cutting loose into something wilder.
We’ve taken a look at a number of first wedding dances posted at YouTube and compiled the ultimate and latest top ten wedding dance video list. Check out the Top 10 chart after the jump.
Mascha Vang, a hot model and sex expert from Denmark, stars in the newest viral for the Danish cancer foundation “Kræftens Bekæmpelse“, to warn against the dangers of tanning. “People need to know how dangerous it is to go to a tanning salon. I’ve been there occasionally, but that was a couple of years ago” she says to gossip magazine Ekstrabladet.dk. “White is the new brown!” she continues. “It’s really Amager-like to get completely tanned in a solarium studio, when you really are just blond.”
The spicy viral video is a hidden camera taking of the hot blonde in a tanning salon, where she gets ready to tan and almost strips naked. In less than a week the video has been viewed 1.6 million times on Break, YouTube, MySpaceTV, MetaCafe, 123video and Bubblare. More information about the campaign can be found in Danish at Myspace.com/sluksolariet. Want more Mascha Vang? Check her out at Myspace.
As this is my first post on here I thought I’d start with one of my personal all time favourites.
42 Below is a vodka producing company from New Zealand. The owner, Geoff Ross, started brewing vodka from his garage and managed to turn the company into a world wide success. They are now owned by Bacardi, who spend NZ$138 million on buying the company.
The company shot to fame thanks to its effective marketing. With hardly a budget at all they managed to grab the attention with some very cheeky and controversial advertising. With some very simple photo and video editing tools they managed to create adverts which grab the attention immediately. Their adverts almost look like as if they are user generated, which makes it very easy for people to create spoof adverts and thus further enhancing the power of the brand.
In this item we promised our readers to start a series of interviews with interesting CEO’s, brand managers, serial entrepreneurs and founders of compelling companies. Well here’s our first CEO interview. It’s with Richard Derks, co-founder of Respectance, the world’s first social media approach to sharing memories. Yes, an interesting subject indeed!
Richard and I were colleagues 9 years ago at Finnish Telco TeliaSonera. Last week Richard flew from San Francisco to Amsterdam so I had the opportunity to interview him. In interactive marketing we mostly try to create emotions, but losing the one you love most, needs no emotions added. So I was looking forward to ask Richard some questions…
For starters, I did not know how to call Respectance. I had heard terms like obituary or condolences websites. Or should I call it: a social network for relatives of passed away people? I learned that Respectance is an interactive community that used emo-social media, the combination of rich media combined with relevant content, to provide an outlet for emotional expression of sharing memories.
Well let’s kick-off the interview! Question 1: How long have you guys been busy with Respectance? Answer Richard: We officially launched 24/7/2007 but we have been building on this site for almost a year. And the idea is much older; we have been waiting for the best possible timing. We think that’s the best thing about Respectance; the timing could not have been better. (more…)

Funny animals and pets are hot on the internet. Especially cats seem to be very popular! Famous cats with internet stardom, include LOLcats, Battle Cats, Nora: The Piano Playing Cat, Sleepy Cat and Nokia’s Flying Cat. The latest ‘cat celebrities’ are Stina and Mossy, Two Talking Cats, uploaded to YouTube by ‘TheCatsPyjaaaamas’ about 5 months ago. The video quickly got over 1 million views.
About 2 week ago Skariko reposted the video on YouTube. Again it got over 1 million views. For months we couldn’t understand the important conversation these two cats are having. Luckily, YouTube user klaatu42 recently has provided the English version:

About a month ago I posted the article Facebook Frenzy, giving a roundup of Facebook buzz, thoughts about the TripAdvisor’s application “Cities I’ve Visited” and the publication of demographic data of Facebook users in 31 countries, taken from Facebook Flyers Pro on October 22nd. So what happened since then?
First a brief overview of announcements: On October 24, 2007 Microsoft announced that it had invested $240 million (1.6% stake) in Facebook at a valuation of $15 billion, beating out Google Inc. On November 1, 2007 Google launched OpenSocial, with a huge number of social network partners, including heavy-weight MySpace. And on November 6, 2007 Facebook revealed their new ad system “Facebook ads” and said 12 major brands (including Coca Cola, Verizon) had already committed to using Facebook Ads.
