1. Mascha Vang vs Solarium

Danish model and sex object Mascha Vang strips down to her birthday costume in this new video for the Danish Cancer Fund, to be seen at YouTube. Mascha told Danish gossip magazine Ekstra Bladet: “People need to know how dangerous it is to visit a solarium. In the past I visited a solarium a couple of time, but not in the past few years”. The campaign against the solaria has the slogan: “White is the new brown”. The hidden camera recording of Mascha’s unfortunate confrontation with the sun bed gathered, within one week, about 2 million views on several video sharing sites. 2. Toom Baumarkt: Selbstbauidee

German hardware stores Hornbach, Obi and Toom Baumarkt heavily compete with each other on the internet with amateurishly made viral videos. Hornbach was the early bird with its Ron Hammer spot, about a year ago. Two weeks ago OBI.de followed with the hammer juggling viral. And now Toom Baumarkt choses for a guerrilla internet campaign as well. In the above video we see a super enthusiastic DIY guy, putting together his own speed bump using Toom Baumarkt equipment. The German hardware store gives away €5000 for the best DIY idea. Popular internet sites as Digg, Gizmodo and TechEBlog appreciated the German sense of humor.

3. 2 Guys 1 Cup

A little over a month ago we wrote about the phenomenon 2 Girls 1 Cup, a nasty clip circulating the internet, encouraging a lot of video reactions. One month later the “2 Girls 1 Cup” virus still isn’t over. The amount of video reactions on YouTube increased to a stunning 5000! Several spoofs scored very well, like the 2 Girls 1 Cup Song by Jon Lajoie, 2 Girls 1 Cup by Kermit the Frog, 2 Girls 1 Puc by Illegal Advertising, 1 Guy 1 Jar by internet celebrity Perez Hilton and, last but certainly not least, 2 Guys 1 Cup starring John Mayer and Sherrod Small, which gained almost 1 million views.

If you think public bodies are dull and corny, Media Development Authority from Singapore will prove you wrong. Senior Executives of the institute rap like there’s no tomorrow in the 4.5 minute spot. Get creative, can do, rock on!” has over 100.000 views. Recently MDA received some criticism about a ban on blockbuster game Mass Effect, based on a mild lesbian scene, which resulted in the ban being lifted.
