I took a look at your site and recommend it to my visitors. I agree with you on the importance of becoming valuable in many different areas. I believe that it sustains any entrepreneur during challenges that inevitably occur.

@Bas

Agree on fast moving society and unclear usability. Also about execution.

I do feel Microsoft in a 5 year period will do everything it can to strike back. Don't know if they will make it. But they will have to try with all they got. Gates is dedicated to do so. And he should be.

But I do know the market value of Google is $ 130,084,655,000 ($ 130 Billion). Microsofts market value is $ 264,969,720,600 ($ 264 Billion).

So I expect Microsoft to have some extra power to strike back. But agree this is no guarantee at all.

Del.icio.us is my favorite too ;-)

Cheers

@ Igor, I don't think Microsoft wil beat Google because they don't make the right decisions. In this fast moving society you can't afford to make products which are unclear or with bad usabilty.

Google search and the other services are better than live search cashback. So Microsoft tryed, but the execution is bad. And that is something that you can't afford.

The social search can be grabbed by Google or another party like Facebook. My favourite social search tool at the moment is Delicious.

Hi Bas

Based on numbers, most will agree with you! So do I.

But, Microsoft is a powerhouse with much more money than Google. And very, very dedicated to beat Google. Will this help Microsoft on the long run?

And whom will grab the social search space in a few years?

Cheers

I think it is a good try, but I think Google is at the moment a better and more clear company, which uses better usability for the products.
