This weeks Viral Friday #1 position goes to Matt Harding with Where The Hell Is Matt?. About five years ago Matt Harding gave up his game designers job to travel the world and do a silly dance everywhere he went. The runner up spot is for Gatorade with Ball Girl Makes Incredible Catch. During the Minor League match between Tacoma Rainiers and Fresno Grizzlies a ball girl makes an incredible catch on a foul ball in left field. I’m Voting Republican completes this week’s top 3. The video, written by Charlie Steak and produced by SyntheticHuman Pictures, gives a sarcastic view on another four years of Republicans.

Meet Propellerman, the creator of Mega Bang: the one and only product that boosts your stamina for a minimum of 72 hours! With over one billion units sold, Mega Bang is the number one selling product in the market.
As a young man, he escaped civilization by travelling through the Amazon rain forest in order to find his inner self. After months of travelling, he was introduced to a Yawanawá’s tribe’s shaman, who showed him how to create a special mixture of herbal drugs that gave him the unique ability to rotate his best piece like a propeller. This was the hour of birth of Propellerman!
Last week I was at the Cannes Lions 2008, where I enjoyed e.g. the Nike and Microsoft Advertising workshops. I also spent hours watching films, TV and viral spots. This potential vspot from Germany is the best kept secret I took from Cannes.
Have you seen above very viral commercial 100 Meter Porn Mixed to promote the Freeware.de’s Download-Manager. The idea is probably a copy of the hilarious Bucharest 2003 Olympic Games by Trojan Condoms?
But the commercial’s idea and tagline are very smart linked into the core product of Freewarde.de. Very witty and relevant, so well done.
Do you also like the clever Wonderbra ads? Well Wonderbra is now calling for volunteers to take part in a billboard advertising campaign for the D to G cup collection. Auditions are on in London on Saturday 28th June 2008.
To get people into the mood for demonstrating their cleavage, Wonderbra has launched this viral campaign The Wonderbra World Just Got Bigger, celebrating the images associated with breasts: coconuts, cushions, puppies, eggs, jugs, tits, hooters, buns, cup cakes, melons…
What do you think, will the London auditions become a HUGE success

Stop motion is hot! More and more videos using this technique are popping up on the internet. One of the best examples is the ‘Tony vs Paul’ video, which has managed to get over 4.5 million views on Youtube so far.
A trend like this doesn’t usually go unnoticed with marketeers and it was only a matter of time before a brand stepped in and joined the party. This time it’s Doritos, the American tortilla crisps producer.
Nineteen year old Dutch singer Esmée Denters has managed to gather an impressive 100 million views on her YouTube channel in less than two years! That’s more than the 50 Cent (91 million views) or Michael Jackson (74 million views) YouTube channel! Only female singer Britney Spears has more all time total views: 181 million.
Denters who started posting videos of herself in August 2006 to YouTube from her bedroom in Oosterbeek, using her sister’s (crappy) webcam, quickly became a huge internet sensation in just a few short months by singing covers of famous pop artists, and later with her own compositions. In June 2007 she signed with Justin Timberlake’s record label Tennman Records.
Facebook use has soared over the last year, and will soon be Britain’s most popular website, according to analysts. In an earlier post here, I called Google the cafeteria and Facebook the trendy restaurant of the Internet.
The latest figures from Nielsen Online, the internet research company, show Brits are spending 2.4 billion minutes on Facebook each month, a rise of over 1.9bn minutes on April last year.
Facebook is now the second most used website in Britain, behind instant messaging service Windows Live Messenger, previously known as MSN Messenger, which has fallen dramatically.
Time spent on WL Messenger, which allows users to chat online in real time, has dropped dramatically from 3.2 billion minutes per month in April last year to 2.4 billion this April. In the industry we call time spent on a website: the stickiness of a website.

One of the most amazing viral ad I have seen lately is from Kia Motors, featuring tennis god Nadal, playing against an alien?
The weirdest bit though is this is the edited version following an initial release of this ad here which was updated because according to Kia Motors:
“After reviewing the comments from other blogs on the viral video, we’ve decided to modify some contents that some may find offensive. In addition, we care Nadal’s reputation as much as ours and hate to see him becoming a laughingstock with pedophilia issues.”
