Freeware.de: 100 Meter Porn Mixed Commercial
Last week I was at the Cannes Lions 2008, where I enjoyed e.g. the Nike and Microsoft Advertising workshops. I also spent hours watching films, TV and viral spots. This potential vspot from Germany is the best kept secret I took from Cannes.
Have you seen above very viral commercial 100 Meter Porn Mixed to promote the Freeware.de’s Download-Manager. The idea is probably a copy of the hilarious Bucharest 2003 Olympic Games by Trojan Condoms?
But the commercial’s idea and tagline are very smart linked into the core product of Freewarde.de. Very witty and relevant, so well done.
Freeware.de also launched this funny viral, the 100 Meter Heavy Metal Men, to promote faster downloading music and video clips with its Download-Manager.
The commercials have enjoyed only a few views online, so it’s like a well kept secret.
If you happen to know the marketing director of Freeware.de, tell him/her we will seed and track these viral commercials on a CPE (cost per engagement or cost per view) basis! Pay for performance…
These commercials have the power to become real weapons of mass affection, but they have not been social media optimized or seeded very well, don’t you agree?

That was the worst bullshit I´ve ever seen. Such a lack of not only talent but also of knowledge regarding what will and will NOT go viral.
Do it all over again,,or rather not at all.
