Mixing Interactivity With Sex Appeal!

There are people out there who are cashing in on the YouTube standard of a viral video. You’ve seen these people because they are always on the front page for most viewed videos. Channels like AtheneWins have proven that the all you need to do is reach a level of Idiocracy in order to attract viewers.

I hope that with these new type of interactive videos, people will start to educate people more through entertainment and sex appeal. My favorite example of this has got to be HotforWords. She has turned a seemingly boring topic – Linguistics and the origin of words – into something fun, sexy, and educational. My company culture is all about productivity made fun, and that is exactly what she is doing.

I want to introduce you to a new kind of YouTube video – riddle videos:

Valsartdiary is making a valiant effort at making learning about art fun and interactive. So far, it looks like she has been a pretty big hit because she combines learning with sex appeal and fun.

So what can you learn from this?

You CAN make any topic fun and exciting! Everyone has a niche, whether its smurfs, sewing, or scuba diving; you have a specialization that you can teach to the world! The best way to do it, and to make it stick, is to be over the top with it! Use a tool like YouTube to put a face on your blog, brand, or company. You don’t have to succumb to the mindless boob and cleavage showing of AtheneWins, but you can learn from their principles: open and friendliness, constant communication with your audience, use of anecdotes, and the extra push to make you subscribe.

This will be my short little introduction about the YouTube viral video making world (that is a long phrase). Next time we’ll go into more specific detail about my favorite channels and what you can learn from them!
