Frank Miller’s Short Film Gucci Guilty

Gucci is celebrating the launch of its latest fragrance in a grand way and called in the help of Frank Miller to create the short film: ‘Gucci Guilty’.

The film stars Evan Rachel Wood and Chris Evans in a tale of passion and defiance. It shows the stars as two damaged anti-heroes driving a flaming car through a gritty, nouveau-noir cityscape; Frank Miller’s signature

The short film premieres at the MTV VMA’s. Not yet on the guest list? Don’t worry: Gucci has set up a Facebook contest which allows fans to win two tickets to the award show and be amongst the first to watch the film exclusively on September 12th.

Social Experiment: Control To The Community

We have seen it before: people putting their lives in the hands of an online community. For a day or a week, like David on Demand did at this year’s Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival. But now Dan Brown – no not the writer, but Rubik’s cube Dan Brown – is taking it to next level with Dan 3.0: giving away control of his life for a whole year:

World Cup 2010: The Psychic Octopus

With the Dutch national team playing the World Cup Finals tomorrow, the small country is turning orange. There is one question occupying over 16 million people: will we finally bring that World Cup home? No need to wait another day, because Paul the Octopus knows exactly who is going to win. Yes, that’s right. An octopus.

In an effort to predict the outcomes of the games, the octopus has become a big internet hit. But, who is going to win that World Cup, Paul?

Apple has a way of introducing its new products with allure, which at the same time is a trigger for many to tap into these introductions. We have seen the ‘Amazing, Incredible’ video and not to mention the countless UGC creations when Apple announced the iPad.

Toy Story 3: Viral Video Meets Nostalgia

It seems like forever ago that Pixar released the first feature film ever to use only computer-generated imagery: Toy Story. That’s where we met Woody and Buzz Lightyear, back in 1995. Now, 15 years later Pixar is about to release Toy Story 3.

Disney already started its marketing efforts last year, as Disney released the first teaser together with the launch of the animated film Up. And more recently, Steve Jobs demonstrated iAd in a Toy Story 3 theme at the iPhone OS 4.0 event. And now with the release date, June 18th, closing in, Disney tapped in to a powerful marketing tool: online video. They found a cool way to combine viral video with nostalgia..
