Facebook Will Launch Music Service

Today CNBC annouched that Facebook will launch their own music service. CNBC claims to have close relations with Facebook and that Facebook will launch this service on the 22nd of September during Facebook’s developers F8 conference in San Fransisco.

CNBC will not host the music themselves. For this they will use one of the currently available music services. Mashable suggests that Spotify, Mog and Rdio are in the race. Earlier this year Mashable compared the six most used music services.

Activia Brazil: Rhythm In The Pot

Activia Brazil is running a swinging campaign called Rhythm in the pot, using facebook in a very clever and entertaining way. How do you create brand interactions with a yogurt that helps regulate the digestive system?

Activia, is a brand of probiotic dairy products owned by Danone (known as Dannon in the United States). Their yogurt helps to regulate the digestive system.

But the brand has difficulty in interacting with its consumers, because “going to the toilet” is not a subject people like to talk about.

Well okay, some male football players seem to be proud of their digestive activities in the locker-room, but for normal consumers it can be a tricky topic to interact on in public indeed. Or is this a different facebook privacy discussion…

New Campaign By Nike Premieres On Facebook

A little over a week ago Nike launched their new campaign titled The Chosen. Instead of launching their new campaign on TV, Nike choose to launch it through social media. The premiere of The Chosen was shown on Facebook, which included its 90 second TV spot.  ‘The Chosen’ is the very first ‘Just Do It’  campaign in the fast growing Nike action sports category, which includes snowboarding, surfing and BMX.

The new ‘Just Do It’-campaign consists of a spectaculair new video with skateboard, surf and BMX legends like Paul Rodriguez, Julian Wilson and Danny Kass. As well as featuring the TV ad premiere on Facebook, the campaign was launched with a video contest calling for user generated content across each of the sports. The winner, the chosen one, gets the chance to live like a Nike Pro athleet for a year.

Yesterday Facebook launched a new website, Facebook Studios, aimed at promoting Facebook as a platform for advertisers. Facebook Studios offers advertisers a clear view of what the possibilities are for an advertiser on Facebook.

A Look Inside Facebook Headquarters

Facebook is slowly consuming more and more of our time spend on the internet. A massive active culture and a great insight have motivated MTV to try and get a closer look at Facebook, not online, but at the actual company.

Tourism Ireland: 1st Social Game On Facebook?

We frequently try to inspire CMO’s to embrace social marketing, Facebook and social games. The most groundbreaking full year social program in tourism we have seen so far is definately the one of Tourism Tuscany. But Tourism Ireland claims to have launched the 1st branded social game on Facebook…

This St Patrick’s Day, Tourism Ireland launched a social game called Ireland Town on Facebook. The game brings the holiday experience to life for Facebook fans across the world and provides another valuable platform to promote the island of Ireland overseas.

Tourism Ireland is the first national tourism board in the world to launch a social game, they claim. With the game Tourism Ireland taps into the huge popularity of games like FarmVille and CityVille – 24% of all people on the internet in the US and UK play social games at least once a week.

Brands seem to love Facebook. Correction, brands love the people who are active on Facebook. Therefore we see branded Facebook pages pop up like mushrooms. It sometimes feels that having a Facebook page is a brand objective by itself.
