Shoot it. Upload. And win. That’s how MTV invites consumers to be part of the 2008 MTV Movie Awards-Movie Spoof Contest. A great viral idea by MTV.
Are you resourceful enough to make a hysterical movie spoof with absolutely no budget? If you are, you could find yourself standing onstage June 1 at the MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles, receiving a Golden Popcorn statuette for Best Movie Spoof.
Seven finalists will win a trip to attend the big show and take home a sweet little Flip Video camcorder. But only the amateur auteur whose spoof collects the most votes on mtv.com will walk away with the MTV Movie Awards Golden Popcorn trophy!
Your masterpiece viral video must be less than three minutes in length and cannot contain any copyrighted music or video that you did not create yourself. Your spoof must be submitted via one of the MTV partner sites: Break, Buzznet, Daily Motion, Funny Or Die, Heavy, MySpace or Photobucket by May 11 2008.
Is the world’s largest interactive photo platform Flickr attacking online video mogul YouTube? Since today Flickr users can add video clips alongside their photos, a much requested and much anticipated feature that has been promised for over a year.
Flickr is effectively turning the photosharing site into more of a YouTube-type experience - but there is a twist. Adding video is now possible, but Flickr has chosen to aim for a different approach than the current videosharing sites.
To make sure that the company does not get into trouble with copyrighted material or long video’s, there is a limit in place that prevents users to upload videos of more than 90 seconds in length. Additionally, there is a 150 MB maximum file size - and you have to be a paying Pro-user.

For years Southpark has been one of the most viewed and downloaded TV series on the internet. And none of it was filling the pockets of the show’s creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker. So alongside with the network which airs the episodes, Viacom, they have decided to offer them online. For free!
All episodes will be offered free of charge, but there will be ads during the episodes. The idea was raised last November, but has finally been executed.
The creative minds behind the show, Matt Stone and Trey Parker, have used the latest episode to express their feelings towards the latest operation. They also took the opportunity to ridicule the Writer’s strike of last year. Script writers are compared to Canadians who are going on strike, simply because they want more money. They suggest the money they receive could come from new internet revenues. Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Butters decide to create a viral video in hope of generating revenue, which can then be given to the Canadians.

With Def Comedy Jam and series like EntourageHBO is my favorite TV Broadcaster. When I vist New York, I always buy some DVD boxes at the HBO store.
I was delighted when I read that HBO and YouTube have reached a deal in which YouTube will create a channel, giving users access to clips from popular HBO shows and full episodes of budding shows. See the HBO YouTube Channel here.
Fans will now be able to legally pass along clips from some of their favorite shows, as well as watch complete episodes of new shows they might want to add to their viewing repertoire.

This item is about sexy girls, adult content, online video, e-commerce and fashion. Interested? Read along! The most widely known English translation of the Kama Sutra was made in 1883. The book gained global reputation for being the best of pornographic work. One age later, the adult industry monetized adult content on every digital channel, from internet to mobile phones.
Brands discovered fast that pretty girls and sexy babes could go viral easily and get free attention. Just take a look at Unilever’s Axe Effect. A while ago, I also wrote online video would beat the number of monthly Google searches in 2008. Yes Sir, online video is one of the important trends for 2008!
The fashion industry have been very slow online last decade and that’s an understatement. Actually fashion brands really have been ignoring trendy consumers terribly. But they are learning fast and I predict many fashion brands will start selling online in 2008.
And if fashion brands start combining pretty girls and e-commerce with trends like online video in a smart way like KnickerPicker does with it’s Online Dressing Room, fashion will go viral fast! It find it very slick, very smart and even writing about. What’s your opinion on KnickerPicker?
