Ford Mustang Customizer Community
Ford launched an online customizer for the 2010 Mustang where, you guessed it, people can customize ‘their’ 2010 Mustang. One can choose from a variety of hoods, louvers, scoops, spoilers, grilles, wheels, stripes, and pretty much everything else you can put on the exterior of a Mustang.
Customizer tools are not really exciting, but what makes this 2010 Mustang customizer very cool is that you can team up with a maximum of four people to make the customization a community effort (that and the amazing design). Every team members gets to do one part of the car, and to achieve the best looks you all have to work together. If there are still slots open you can invite a friend via IM to join the customization.
All in all a nice toy, but I think most participants will not buy a Mustang in the near future. It’s all just a bit too Playstation I think.

What do you mean with “it’s just a little bit too PLaystation”, it looks cool but to expensive so I won’t buy it?
What I mean is that I think this customization thing is most liked by the Playstation generation, but I doubt if they are the ones actually buying Mustangs. Then again, it may be that Ford inspires the youngsters with this customization tool and they may become a Mustang fan and one day buy one…
Actually, the Mustang is one of the most customized cars out there. So something like this makes complete sense for the car and its fans.
