‘You Make It, We Play It’ Doritos UGC Contest
Stop motion is hot! More and more videos using this technique are popping up on the internet. One of the best examples is the ‘Tony vs Paul’ video, which has managed to get over 4.5 million views on Youtube so far.
A trend like this doesn’t usually go unnoticed with marketeers and it was only a matter of time before a brand stepped in and joined the party. This time it’s Doritos, the American tortilla crisps producer.
They turned to the creative talents in the UK and wrote out a contest for their latest television advert. The prize was £20.000 and to have your advert aired on air in the United Kingdom, among other smaller prizes.
Contestants could upload their efforts to the competition’s Youtube channel.
Tony B won the contest with his ‘Doritos Tribe’ stop motion video (video above). The ad premiered last Sunday on ITV1. Apparently it was also beamed into space!
