I admit; I love Facebook. It keeps me in-tuned with my peers, shows me new things and connects me to my family and friends overseas. How is Facebook a part of your life?

Facebook dominates the web, our mobiles, our data-usage and even the movies we watch! The strange thing however is that I do not find it intruding or negative.

I mean what is there to be suspicious about? A 26 year old geek has been extremely successful by creating a social platform which has in several ways made our lives more social. To top it off, and I honestly say that I am humbled by this, that guy donated half of his fortune to chartiy. Talking about making a change in peoples lives…

My job is in social and my own company has quite the exposure on the social web: I even sell my stuff via Facebook. The company I work for is a leading agency in Social Marketing. Not that Facebook IS Social Marketing, but it has certainly created quite the buzz. In my personal life, thankfully I have a lot of friends, also Facebook Friends, and when I go out for drinks, dinner or to play sports or what have you, I can 9 out of 10 times skip the pleasantries and get straight to meaningful conversations because I’m in the loop. I’d say I owe Facebook in some way!

There are plentiful opportunities in business and personal life through Facebook; but where does it end and where does it begin?

People were suspicious of the internet, did not see the value in search engines and they are now sceptical of Facebook. Will Facebook be of that magnitude?
