Powermat: What The Bleep?!
We are used to being connected all the time using our laptops and mobile devices. They all work great but have one downside: after a while we end up with a desk full of chargers and wires. Being gadget lovers we just have to show you this: the Powermat.
Powermat is announcing the launch with a series of “What The Bleep?” teasers which capture the essence of many first-time users reactions to the technology.
The Powermat is a wireless charging station for your gadgets, and it can charge multiple devices simultaneously to eliminate the tangle of wires that accumulate in the home and behind work stations. The charging device will be released early this month.
From the Powermat website:
“Powermat utilizes principles of magnetic induction combined with Powermat proprietary patent-pending technology to safely and effectively provide power to electronic devices. Powermat transforms surfaces including walls, tables, floors and desktops into safe, simple, and efficient conductors of energy. It replaces the need to access multiple electrical sockets for real-time powering and charging of electronic devices.”
More information on the Powermat on their website, Facbook page, YouTube channel and Twitter account.
Our sister agency SocialMedia8 is involved in the Powermat introduction campaign.

Must have one for abroad trips, very handy to put all my devices on the powermat in my hotel, so I can leave my 5 chargers at home.
Cheers
I hate all those chargers, it’s not a pretty site in your house when your charging your BB, iPhone and PSP at the same time, looks like a spaghetti of wires then. The Powermat seems a great solution for this.
Am I correct to say you need a case for your devices to charge your device, such as an iPod or iPhone? How does that work? Do the cases for your devices come with the product?
Yes Carrie, that is correct. For some devices there’s a case, others just need a Powermat battery door. Check it out here: http://www.powermateu.com/pm_uk/products/
