Coming Soon: Monopoly City Streets

Monopoly is about to start a new game together with Google: Monopoly City Streets. A great way to integrate the online possibilities of Google Maps and one of the most well know offline games in the world.

In September, Monopoly is launching a multi player game of property empire building on an unimaginable scale. People can try to be the greatest property magnate the world has ever known within the online environment.

Goal of the game is to involve people from all over the world; they will be challenged against one another in an online game of Monopoly turning the globe into one giant game board, using Google maps to enable it.

Interesting detail is that Hasbro just last year made some noise about using Scrabble for online purposes and ordered it to be taken down. Apparently Hasbro finally embraced the online concept and options the internet has for their games.

We must say, integrating Monopoly with Google maps, what a nice way to go and we’re looking forward seeing the results of number of players! And of course, the first advertisers to embrace this idea and whom will look for the numerous opportunities this online game might offer for them!
