Direct Your Own Audi Land Of Quattro TV Commercial

Audi is giving you the tools to direct your own Land of quattro television commercial, for a chance to have it aired nationally.

With this new campaign, Audi tries to generate awareness in Australia of their all-wheel drive technology and it’s suitability for the Australian landscape and lifestyle.

The campaign combines TV, social media, state-by-state print and out-of-home advertising, and an innovative digital execution that allows the public to ‘remix’ the TVC to direct their own commercial.

To achieve this, Audi had to reinvent the way they shot a commercial. They used ‘dynamic waypoint’ hacked quadcopters and 3DR telemetry tracking technology to match the Audi quattro turn for turn and capture each scene over and over again, so users can take the director’s chair and create their very own commercial to share.

The maker of the winning commercial, will be flown to the home of quattro to experience it first-hand and participate in the exhilarating Audi ice experience. And if you are that luck one, you’ll push the limits of your driving skills on the Austrian Alps behind the wheel of Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive models.

My Opinion?
I’m a Audi fan, so I like that idea that I can be in control of the TVC editing.

Unfortunately I think that the editor is a bit too difficult. So beware it’s not iMovie you’ll be working with..

It’s good to see that audiences are becoming more involved in the development of these things.

Ultimate goal would be actually become part of the Audi engineering team!
