Brand Loyalty To The Max
Why are some brands more popular than other brands? Some people say it is because of transparency but looking at the Apple brand you may say that it has nothing to do with transparency. Some people say it is because of interaction. Again looking at the Apple brand, interaction has nothing to do with popularity. And we can go on and on…
And fans can go quite far in their loyalty, people stop looking at functionalities and don’t even listen to reasonable argumentation. They choose a certain brand without any doubt.
But you can ask yourself: “If Apple doesn’t interact with their customers and they are so secretive, why do people love that brand so much they are willing to have the brands logo printed in their body?”
In my humble opinion, people love Apple because they listen very careful. Once they know what the market wants they start developing and take the competitor by surprise. A great example is the iPod; while all competitors were busy doing their thing and fighting over 1 or 2% market share, Apple listened, knew, developed and crushed them. So my advice to every brand is to start listening (and thinking different might help along the way

Apple also deliver an amazingly consistent brand experience – from the retail stores, to their advertising, to their products and (most importantly imo) the consistent experience of USING the products.
For example, if you used a first gen iPhone it’d be a cinch to pick up and use a fourth gen iPhone; the experience of use is consistent and familiar. I can’t see that happening with a Nokia phone – every one is slightly different.
A consistent positive experience with a brand is a great precursor to brand loyalty
Working for a creative we are all advocates of the Apple brand – we all absolutely love Apple here and I believe Wicher the writer who posted this blog and Steve above me hit a few good points.
APPLE LISTEN to their customers – everything they make is user centred / user focussed and they go back to good old fashioned tradition of “The Customer Is Always Right” , they also give their staff great training and their brand experience on and off line is seamless giving us a fantastic end-to-end experience.
Good work people of Apple!
