Neurosonics Audiomedical Labs Inc. Viral Video

Today I bumped into a very surreal video on Vimeo. The video features the Scratch Perverts, a collective of turntablist DJs from the UK, formed in 1996 by Tony Vegas, Prime Cuts and DJ Renegade. The Dj´s paid a visit to the Neurosonics Audiomedical Labs Inc. This resulted into one crazy short film, which you should defenitely watch!

The Neurosonics Audiomedical Labs Inc is pretty vague on the meaning of this video. This is for example what their video description mentions:

`This one’s for my dad. Kingdom of the unreal but also a higher state of being, ultimately free of the limitations of the material world through the agency of science, technology, and imagination.

The video was directed by Chris Cairns of the Partizan Lab. The people of  Motiongrapher managed to interrupt Cairns’ busy schedule and gave them quick insight into the techniques used to create the video:

`We shot the people spinning on turntables at 33.3rpm at high speed and then matched them to the turntables which were working with Serato. The film was made in collaboration with The Scratch Perverts, Foreign Beggars, Shlomo and Will Clarke with sound design by Will Cohen. Post production by The Mill London.`

You should also visito the Neurosonics Audiomedical Labs Inc website for some nice production stills and a full credit list.

We believe that all these vague ingredients, along with the amazing footage could be the right way to become viral. That could be something the creators are hoping for, as the video has been seeded to video portals such as Youtube, Vimeo and Dailymotion.

We´ll ask our friends from ViralTracker to keep an eye on the virality of this video.
