Yahoo!7 Mail: Think Outside The Inbox Video
In Australia Yahoo! recently launched the new Yahoo!7 Mail Inbox as: Think Outside The Inbox. The video promo shows how easy it is to have your friends upfront in the new inbox.

Even though Australia does not have a very high broadband penetration, Yahoo! has chosen to launch an online video to promote the new Yahoo!7 Mail. See how the Aussie cowboy online video demonstrates the new features of Yahoo!7 Mail.
It’s a simple but clear online video demo, that was created by Australian agency Three Drunk Monkeys.
And online video and motion is what more brands should do: really invest in digital brand programming. Not again launch that cheap ugly campaign site that scares away consumers. Not only launch that cheap and ugly set of banners!!
Brands, show your consumers that you really care about your brand! Also online. Especially online! So brand managers, you should start investing seriously in your online brand equity in 2009. Close the gap with your modern consumers’ media behaviour in 2009.
The internet might still be a medium for plain text and photos in the opinion of many brand managers?? But modern consumers have already decided a few years ago that the internet is their platform for: video, audio, music, gaming, 3D, entertainment and much more.
So brands will need to switch to video and full motion in their 2009 content strategy. At least, if you feel brand preference is an important step towards becoming a better selling and performing brand.
Do you share my opinion that too many brands do not invest sufficient money in their digital marketing efforts? And that as a result of consumers are not really engaged or inspired by these brands?
If brands are looking for an increased brand preference and increased purchase intent amongst digital consumers, they are now penny wise but pound foolish?
