Because we just can’t seem to get enough of them: infographics. Here are 15 astonishing facts about the Internet. Thanks to OnlineSchool, who tried to grasp the amount of information available online.

As we all know by now, it’s almost impossible to put any number on the Internet as virtually anything is available, anywhere, at any time. But try and imagine this: it would take 100.000.000 human brains to store the internet. And counting.

I would doubt that Google has indexed only 200 TB of data, it looks like a piece of cake. They have reached a milestone of 1 trillion (!) web pages in 2008, so basic calculation of 1^12 * 100kb/page would give you 100’000 TB of data and it was 2 years ago. Also, just imagine YouTube and GMail data volumes..

I think reports are underestimating the time people spent in youtube.

It would also be interesting if more people start video tweeting from their mobile phones—>140 characters would be like 5 seconds of video.

If text tweeting is about sharing links, video tweets would be more about ‘branding and experience’ like a video tweet of how this brand of clothes make you look, how a lipstick product did last for hours, how waterproof shoes look a day after a rain…etc…etc…oh and what you felt after reading a book!

Can’t wait for more people to share their video tweet experiences.
