Ever wondered how big Google is? Hungry Beast, an Australian news show, compiled a simply amazing video look into the company. Do you still believe it’s motto “Don’t Be Evil“?
Even though some numbers are outdated as an unofficial Google blog points out, it is still quite overwhelming.

I like the video. Like many others I use Gmail, Google Search and my Android phone many times every day. And yes, like others I sometimes look at Google from the evil side and an concerned.
I don’t have to have all these services for free if it means my privacy is protected, but are there equally good alternatives (free or paid) for all the Google services that do not, ever, use my details? I doubt it.
Anyway, for now I am happy to use Google products/services and not afraid for the Google privacy monster. Maybe I shoud, but I’m not (for now).
I like the video, but i think they mixed two different things: giving information about what google is, and showing how good the motion designer is with After effects.
I think more focus should be given in the first, but that’s a good vid anyways!
The video is indeed pretty cool (also a bit show off by designer), but the message become pretty clear.
I really like Google, but they are becoming, or actually are, so big, it is becoming really scary.
But if you consider the fact that company changed our (digital) lives so much I still appreciate their motto (considering how big they are)
Yeah.. Google is now the ‘dark side’.. funny to see how things change in a couple of years.
I would like though to see Wolfram Alpha getting some enthusiasm, cause i believe google would have some competition wit this computational knowledge engine.. but WA is online for some time now.. and barely noticed by the media.
I also like WA, but for common daily searches I am not sure if WA is up to par with the big boys (yet).
