Facebook Vs Google Plus
Google Plus was launched just over a month ago. I have to give Google a big compliment for their launch. Many ‘new’ social networks have failed miserably, but Google Plus was immeadiately part of my life. Checking Google more than once per day and seeing the new menu bar helped me to start using Google Plus more and more frequently.
Since Value for Time has become more important to me than Value for Money, and the fact that I used Facebook way to often, made me Google for some pro’s and con’s around both networks. My search resulted in this inforgraphic created by The Tech Addicts.

Great visual comparison of the two services. What’s interesting to me is that everyone is commenting on the higher engagement rates of googleplus but are not thinking about the fact that it’s an invite only service full of early adopters – it will be interesting to compare engagement rates when the channel has been opened to all. (ah I sound like such a cynic!)
Cool we seem to agree that we disagree.
This week I wrote about the failing strategies of Google and YouTube. And how suprised I was that people really compared Google+ with Facebook…

Pls read it, and let me know why you think Google+ can be compared to Facebook..
Cheers
For me it’s another social network for which I really don’t have much time even though it looks promising and tech crispy.
Why to reconnect again with all the people on FB, twitter, linkedin, etc. maybe I’m wrong, but I see it like this…
Hey Martin,
Like many other you call it a ‘social network’ as well.
I do agree with you on the ‘reconnect’ part.
But is it really a social network, or a first step towards social search?
Cheers

Promoting google+ votes is becoming a very hot business. Using these types of services could have negative or positive affects on SEO.
We just have to see how google treats them. Another place to buy google plus votes is bulkones.com
Will be interesting to see how this evolves over the next few months.

Just FYI … facebook does have an option of being displayed on “searches” both on web and on facebook search.
Google+ wont make it. Because unlike facebook, google+ can become a hub for stalkers, with no way of stopping ppl to let them add u to their circles, you are exposing yourself to unwanted people. Facebook wins hands down when it comes to privacy.

Read a comparison between Facebook and Google+ http://morldtechgossips.blogspot.com/2011/08/facebook-versus-google-pluses-and.html
i like it
Thanks for the post, really good an easily understandable infografic.
If I like the article, picture, website or something else, I’ll press both buttons
, not only because I equally like these networks, but because they both are a good way to promote the artwork or project.
And the answer for your last question
I’ve also made a research about the coexisting of these two social platforms and you can see my conclusion here: http://templates.motocms.com/blog/showcases/google-wont-kill-facebook/
Interesting battle between two big social networking sites!
