Get Your KPIs In Order

Social Media and the new way of marketing that has evolved from it is thriving. Business are placing it higher op their marketing calender and in the mix.

I get the feeling now more then ever businesses are focussing on getting a return on their marketing budgets spent. But social marketing is not a miracle cure to acheive your brand and business objectives… well it can be; if aligned correctly.

Growth in Share of Market, increased sales, decreased costs for R&D and webcare are objectives that can be obtained though implementing your social mix within your daily marketing activities. However, you need to get your internal organisation sorted out to leverage your organisation into a more tuned-in, engaging and succesfull one.

We can measure our ROI, but it can only be measured properly if we describe our goals in the right context and when we set the correct KPI’s. Then and only then we can start measuring our ROI.

In the picture underneath you have a KPI setting illustration; have a look how you can translate it to your organisation.

After that we will be able to start measuring our returns… more on that and the tools needed for that in our next blogposting.

The main thing with social is the reason why. Find out what you want out of your relationships with your target audience and if you even want a relationship. If it is not in your DNA you will not be able to build an interdependant relationship that creates value for all parties involved.
