Viral Friday: Jordan – This Is Where It Starts

Viral Friday is the weekly viral video chart of ViralBlog, showing the 5 most popular viral videos, commercials, games or user-generated videos, carefully selected and ranked by popularity, viral impact & spread.

Viral Friday: Jordan - This Is Where It Starts

This week’s #1 position goes to Jordan Presents: This Is Where It Starts and presents the vision of Jordan brand of the future of basketball. The #2 is Little Baby’s Ice Cream – This is a Special Time. I don’t always watch ice-cream commercials, but when I do I scream. Especially while seeing this one. And Nike: Find Your Greatness – Jogger closes this week’s top 3 with a showing a greatness of a lonely boy runner from London. London, Ohio.

Do you want to see this week’s list from 1 to 5? Go on then, and have a look! We’d like to hear your opinion about the virals. Have fun!

Get our ViralBlog asset: the Viral Friday Widget! By default the widget shows you the latest Viral Friday, but it’ll also show you the seven most recent postings on ViralBlog.

1. Jordan Presents: This Is Where It Starts

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJ9fi3UkNbg

Michael Jordan is probably the world’s most famous basketball player. So far. But what will the NBA look like in the year 2030? Jordan brand presents its vision of the future in this great new spot. It’s a story of a global rivalry inspired by Carmelo Anthony and the 2012 U.S. Olympic team. Created by some brilliant minds that market the Nike brand. It’s also connected to Instagram competition, you can join and check some great pics.
So #RiseAbove and enjoy the video as did more than 1,25 million people do in just one week.

2. Little Baby’s Ice Cream: This Is A Special Time

Some videos make you laugh, some are sexy and some, some leave you terrified with a question in your mind “what the f**k did I just watch?”. Well this one is a great example of a slightly terrifying ad. Philly-based Little Baby’s Ice Cream (which, if you think about it, isn’t that appetizing a name to begin with) presents a couple of seriously freaky, disturbed films to promote…ice cream. So far almost 1,2 million people watched the video since it went live on the first of August. Enjoy and well, it’s Friday so you are not planning to sleep anyway…

3. Nike: Find Your Greatness – Jogger

Nike’s campaign Find Your Greatness, created by Wieden + Kennedy Portland, has a new star: 12 years old Nathan from London, Ohio. A lone boy runner on a country road. The campaign focuses on the strength of all everyday athletes in Londons around the world and not on the Olympics. The video is flying, got almost 900,000 views since 31st of July, so go out there and find your greatness too!

4. Ragú Long Day Of Childhood – Parent’s Bedroom

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWD0wUmO8jk

There’s nothing like coming home after a hard day of school, hungry, rushing to your parents and…found them in bed but it’s just 8 o’clock. That’s why they taught you to always knock!  So, a long day of childhood calls for a great pasta sauce, from Ragú of course, and the kid might forget what he/she saw. Even though it’s highly probable that what has been seen cannot be unseen. This one (this video) has been seen more than 880,000 times in one week. Want more? Join the conversation at Twitter and Facebook!

5. tshirtOS: The world’s first programmable t-shirt

Tired of buying new t-shirts as the status on them becomes obsolete? Maybe this is something for you – the first programmable t-shirt! And washable! Just remove batteries. Would you like such a piece of geekery? It’s an original canvas of personal-expression, innovated by Ballantine’s and Cutecirctuit. If you love it and you can already ask for one at Ballantine’s facebook page and answer the question:
“How will you Leave An Impression with tshirtOS?” It’s indeed a great idea and the video got more than 300,000 views since it’s in the wild, 1st of August.
