Kasabian Football Hero Video

We’ve seen some entertaining Guitar Hereo viral videos before, but now there’s Football Hero. The video features some freestyle football players, who play the Guitar Hero game, by kicking balls on coloured sensors, which correspond whit the game.

The technique behind the gigantic controller is called Arduino and it’s pretty awsome. You can check out some more cool Arduino projects here. Being a football player, I doubt if they could really play the song which each just using 5 balls, but the final edit is really entertaining.

The game is programmed with the Kasabian track Underdog. Although the video has resulted in buzz and awareness on various blogs such as Gizmodo, Engadget and Sporting News. The attempt to promote the new Kasabian album, seems not to work that well yet. The video resulted in more than 400,000 clip views on various video portals, but the Bitly link that comes with the video description shows just around 500 clicks to Amazon and iTunes.
