Lampard & Shilton Volley For Tesco
The World Cup is starting in less than a month so we have been expecting the current influx of football related videos. Nike’s Write The Future TV ad has been getting a lot of attention lately and PUMA have returned with the second instalment of their Hard Chorus campaign.
Tesco is another brand that has gotten into the World Cup spirit and have created this video with current England legend Frank Lampard and a legend of the past in Peter Shilton.
The video shows Lampard and Shilton volleying the ball at each other until Shilton gets a little bit carried away and hoofs it into the neighbour’s garden, after which Lampard has to sheepishly go over and ask for his ball back.
The video is picking up speed quickly, with over 30 blogs already mentioning the it in the wild – it could be dark horse for tomorrow’s Viral Friday.
They are the official supermarket sponsor of the England team and are heavily involved in football through the FA Skills programme and have trained over 1.5 million kinds since the program launched in 2007.

Hi Daan, The video is cool enough, the ball act between Frank and Peter is awesome as well. But I could not really understand the message of Tesco in it.
I believe this viral is really bad. First, it is too similar to Ronaldino hitting the upper bar in that nike spot which was online a long time ago. Second, the ball is too obviously computer animated.
this is pretty cool. lampard’s kicking awesome, unlike today v Japan!!!!
