Life’s for Sharing. That was the T-Mobile UK viral message. See this T-Mobile commercial that was filmed January 15 2009 with 400 dancers on Londen’s Liverpool Street Station. The video spread virally pretty soon…

Last Friday (2009/02/06) people tried to create a UGC parody on the T-Mobile viral commercial. A Facebook call-to-action invited people to gather at Londen’s Liverpool Street Station at 19:00 hours to do a much bigger dance. The output and buzz you can see in this video…

T-Mobile UGC Viral Commercial: 12.000 people dance at Liverpool Street

The user created “mob log” initiated at Facebook was so successful that 12.000 dancers went to the station!! After 15 minutes police decided to clean sweep the station partly, since it was a bit crowded…

Here we see a combination of Viral, Free PR and Buzz. And look at the buzz worthy aftermath created by users. Facebook mobilized 12.000 people. And I know many marketers still don’t know for sure about virals and social media?!

If Oprah Winfrey, Pope Benedictus XVI and Barack Obama all have YouTube channels and Facebook pages… what would be the brand marketers reason not to understand his target audience?
