1. BP Spills Coffee
By now you probably know how BP deals with spills. And if you don’t, check this week’s number 1 viral. UCB Comedy takes the oil spill story to the boardroom and show us exactly what would happen if BP executives spill their coffee, and how well coordinated they work together to clean up the spill. On YouTube the video got over 5.2 million views in just 9 days.
2. USA vs England In Lego
The World Cup is in full swing. And it did not start well for the England team as they draw against the USA due to a rather uncomfortable moment keeper Green had. For several years Fabian Moritz, of Legofussball.eu, recreates football goals using nothing but stop motion and Lego. The video has been watched by over 2 million people since last Monday and got featured on Guardian.co.uk.
3. OK Go – End Love
OK Go are doing it again. Their latest track ‘End Love’ has been released through a video (you can also download the song from their site for free) and we are loving it, just like their previous videos. Now, they have spiced up their new release with a contest: when you download the song, upload the video on your Facebook and get your friends to comment, you are in the running to win an OK Go engraved iPad. The iPad contains all OK Go videos and songs and some stuff they like. The video has been viewed over 650,000 times since June 14.
4. Rémi Gaillard: The Stupid Cup
The Frenchman Rémi Gaillard is known for his pranks since 2002 (and featured in many Viral Friday postings), and a lot of them are football related. In this prank the amateur soccer players of the French suburb of Le Crès, got to shine. They got to play their own Champions League final. Just watch and enjoy! “C’est en faisant n’importe quoi qu’on devient n’importe qui” as Rémi would say. If you wane see more visit his YouTube channel or his website. The video was uploaded on 9 June and got almost 1 million views since.
5. Sony – Bravia 3D
Not only does ViralBlog bring you the latest virals, we also do a bit of fortune telling on the side. This video was mentioned as a possible candidate for Viral Friday and here it is! Granted, it’s a very nice video with the winning combination of a famous person (football player Kaka) and cool special effects. Next to this video there is a ‘Behind the scenes‘ clip. Sony has created numerous breathtaking commercials for their Bravia TV, always with a relaxing (classic) tune in the background. This one hit over 287,000 views within 10 days.
