Viral Friday is the weekly viral video chart of ViralBlog, showing the 5 most popular viral videos, commercials, games or user-generated videos, carefully selected and ranked by popularity, viral impact & spread.

Viral Friday: #DIRTYLAUNDRY

This week’s #1 position goes to #DIRTYLAUNDRY, a new short film based on The Punisher movie. Warning: NSFW. The #2 is the new tablet from Google Montage: Unboxing The Nexus 7 is fun as it’s always a great surprise when you unpack something.  And Teach Me How To Brushy closes this week’s top 3 with a public service campaign for, yes – brushing your teeth.

Do you want to see this week’s list from 1 to 5? Go on then, and have a look! We’d like to hear your opinion about the virals. Have fun!

1. #DIRTYLAUNDRY

The best description o f this video: ultra-violent tough lessons for thugs in tough times. It’s a short fan film based on The Punisher movie, starring Thomas Jane and Ron Perlman. It was first screened at Comic Con over the past weekend and Thomas Jane insists that it’s just a love letter to the character he played, and not a call to cast himself in another movie.

“I wanted to make a fan film for a character I’ve always loved and believed in – a love letter to Frank Castle & his fans. It was an incredible experience with everyone on the project throwing in their time just for the fun of it. It’s been a blast to be a part of from start to finish — we hope the friends of Frank enjoy watching it as much as we did making it.” – Thomas Jane

The video is in the wild since 15th of July and until now it got almost 1,7 million views. If you want to know more, join the conversation on Twitter: #DIRTYLAUNDRY with Thomas Jane or Adi Shankar, movie producer.
