This weeks Viral Friday #1 position goes to Drunk Referee. At first it looked like Sergey Shmolik was having trouble with his back. But gradually the players and spectators saw the real reason – he was drunk. The runner up spot is for Google with Lively. Two days ago Google launched a new social networking tool called Lively. Berfishocca completes this week’s top 3. To promote the Berocca vitamin tablets Bayer made this funny viral video.

Do you want to see this week’s list from 1 to 10? Go on then, and have a look! We’d like to hear your opinion about the virals. Have fun!

1. Drunk Referee

It’s widely known that football referees have one of the toughest jobs in sport. But nobody expects them to turn to drink to relieve the stress – and certainly not during a match. Yet that’s what apparently happened at a Belarusian Premier League tie between FC Naftan and FC Vitebsk. At first it looked like the FIFA appointed referee, Sergey Shmolik, was having trouble with his back. But gradually the players and spectators saw the real reason – he was drunk. The referee spent most of the second period in the centre circle, directing the game with meaningless gestures and strange whistle-blows. (Source: RussiaToday)

2. Google Lively

Two days ago Google launched a new social networking tool called Lively. You can place furniture and switch avatars, and there’s a built-in marketplace for both. You can make linkable objects, TVs that play from YouTube, and boards that display web-hosted graphics.

3. Berfishocca

Berocca is a tablet containing a specific combination of B group vitamins and Vitamin C, manufactured by Bayer. To promote the tablets Bayer made the “Berfishocca” commercial, which has been viewed by over 1 million people since it was uploaded July first. (Source: Grant Sidwell)

4. Human Mirror

Improv Everywhere causes scenes of chaos and joy in public places. For their latest mission, they filled a subway car with 15 pairs of identical twins, creating a human mirror.

5. Freestyle Horse

According to Illegal Advertising this is a new Nike viral. Obviously fake but still entertaining to watch. Think you saw this before? We do too.

6. Stars & Stripes Forever!

While most actors and actresses in Hollywood age and wither, the Muppets still remain youthful, funny and full of vigor and life. The brilliant minds behind these felt handwarmers have put together a little patriotic number for us here on “the internet”.

7. Jedi Gym

VanRoble created this entertaining mockumentary titled “Jedi Gym” for the Atom’s Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge. In the short film former swordplay trainer to the stars and Star Wars fanatic Jeremy Flynn tells about his recently opened “Jedi Gym”, a fitness center in Torrance, CA where members channel characters from the Star Wars film series to work out, meditate, and improve their lives. 9. Faceless People

Car manufacturer Lotus launches a marketing campaign to introduce their forthcoming Lotus Eagle. Faceless people are showing up at events in Great Britain leading to speculations and media attention (on ABC News, The Daily Mail and Metro UK). (Source: Nick Burcher)

10. Heineken: Suicide

Two remarkable ads (“Heineken: Suicide” and “Heineken: Blowjob“), suggestively made by Heineken turn out to be fakes, made by students of the Dutch Hallo Academie.

Love the faceless people, kept seeing them in the papers this week, but with no explanation. Now it all makes sense. A great advertising ploy.
