This week’s Viral Friday #1 position goes to Kim Kardashian Salads. American fast-food restaurant chain Carl’s Jr. asked Kim Kardashian to promote its chicken salad. And so she did. The runner up spot is for NORAD Tracks Santa. Every year on Christmas Eve NORAD follows Santa Claus as he leaves the North Pole and delivers presents to children around the world. Jack Bauer Interrogates Santa completes this week’s top 3. Is Santa really a nice person or is he actually a terrorist? 24’s Jack Bauer suspects the latter and wants answers.

1. Kim Kardashian Salads

American fast-food restaurant chain Carl’s Jr. asked Kim Kardashian to promote its chicken salad. And so she did. As we all know sex sells, so in de ad Kim eats her salad, gets dirty and takes a bath afterwards. Over 1.5 million people watched her do so on YouTube since 21 December, and most of them probably agree with Kim that “While the best things in life are messy, it’s fun to get clean.”

2. NORAD Tracks Santa

NORAD Tracks Santa is a service offered on Christmas Eve by NORAD, the North American Aerospace Defense Command. Every year on Christmas Eve, “NORAD Tracks Santa” follows Santa Claus as he leaves the North Pole and delivers presents to children around the world. Videos of his trip can be seen in NORAD’s YouTube channel and have been seen between 5,000 and 1 million times. Read Paul’s posting for more details about NORAD Tracks Santa.

3. Jack Bauer Interrogates Santa

Santa Claus. Is he really a nice person or is he actually a terrorist? 24’s Jack Bauer suspects the latter and wants answers. What he does not realize is that Santa has one special trick up his sleave; the naughty list. Amd Jack is now on it. Bristol, UK based Rebel Virals wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and decided to do so with this clip, which got far over 1 million views and featured on MSNBC.

4. Dramatic Chipmunk Breaks Out

LG has put new life into the Dramatic Chipmunk by showing his adventures around the world after he breaks out of the studio in this clip. Dramatic Chipmunk dates from 2007 but has taken the world by storm in all kinds of remakes of the original, most popular being the 5 seconds outtake from the original with some dramatic music behind it. The Break Out video is gaining quite some popularity as well: 236,020 views in 10 days.

5. Starbucks Love Project

Starbucks has found a beautiful way of raising awareness for HIV in Africa: singing. At 1:30 PM GMT on December 7th, musicians from 156 countries sang “All You Need is Love” together. The video shows all the singers and musicians doing their thing to help fight AIDS. Starbucks teamed up with (RED) to raise awareness for this problem. On the dedicated website you can add your voice, listen to the CD you can get at Starbucks stores and draw up a love message. Since December 13th the video has been viewed 284,584 times.
