1. Super Chameleon
About two years ago sunglasses manufacturer Ray-Ban started its global “Never Hide” campaign featuring the YouTube account NeverHideFilms. If you haven’t read it already, check out Matthijs’ very interesting posting about the Never Hide campaign.
To promote their summer collection “Ray-Ban Colorize” Ray-Ban released four new videos (Drill, Canon, Chameleon and Paint Can) made by ad agency Cutwater. The Chameleon video scores very well on YouTube, Break and Yahoo video with almost 1 million views in one and a half weeks.
2. Creme That Egg!
Cadbury, the British confectionery company, started a user generated video campaign in New Zealand titled “Cadbury Creme Egg Gooeys Film Festival“. Cadbury calls upon consumers to destroy their Cadbury Cream Egg in the most creative way, film it and upload the video to the Cadbury Creme Egg Gooeys Film Festival website. The most original contribution wins $5.000. Creme Egg destroyers have till next Thursday to upload their video and compete with the 77 contributions that are already on the site. The most creative one comes from 23 year old Joseph Herscher who, together with his sex room mates, spent six months building a Rube Goldberg machine. His video “Creme That Egg!” got over 1 million views in two weeks. To promote the campaign Cadbury used Bebo, Facebook and YouTube.

3. Metallica Risky Business Coaches
Late 2008 we saw Heidi Klum in a Guitar Hero ad and now the game, developed by Neversoft and published by Activision, got Metallica to star in their ad for Guitar Hero: Metallica. The game will probably be released in Europe, North America and Australia on Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii next month. In the game you’ll play the Metallica support act and by doing well you’ll impress Metallica and get invited to go on tour with the band. After Guitar Hero: Aerosmith this is the second GH game that focuses one just one band.
