This weeks Viral Friday #1 position goes to The Simpsons New Main Title. Last Sunday 15th February Fox has released the new opening title sequence for the new HDTV version of The Simpsons. The runner up spot is for The WTF Blanket. The WTF Blanket is a parody of the Snuggie infomercials. Interactive Hot Tub Girl completes this week’s top 3. In this video you get to choose a guy’s fate when a blazing hot bikini model joins the hot tub with him.

1. The Simpsons New Main Title

Last Sunday 15th February Fox has released the new opening title sequence for the new HDTV version of The Simpsons. After 19 years the old intro, made in 1989 by Klasky Csupo, the company that produced the animations for the first three seasons, just wasn’t up to date anymore. In this new opening sequence Lisa’s schoolmates are shown playing on a Nintendo DS games console, the Simpson family is watching a flat-screen TV and Marge’s supermarket bill has gone from $243.2 to $486.52. The video, which was posted on YouTube last Friday the 13th already has over 2.7 million views today.

2. The WTF Blanket

The above video is a great parody of the infomercials for the Snuggie, reimagined as the What The F#%k Blanket. The video is made by Jack Douglass, aka Jacksfilms, an American University student studying film and has over 1.7 million YouTube views, 6,926 YouTube ratings, 3,946 YouTube comments and 91 blog reactions.

3. Interactive Hot Tub Girl

SecretSauceTV, consisting of Andy Signore, Daniel Hartley, Arthur Gradstein, Ian Weinreich and John Carreon, made the above interactive YouTube annotations video in which you get to choose a guy’s fate when a blazing hot bikini model joins the hot tub with him. Give it a try and peel the girl a potato, call a friend to say hi, make her a balloon animal, rub her face with a mop, slap her with a fish, drop a toaster in the hot tub and so on and on. The video got over 500,000 views since it was uploaded on January 26th.

4. 38 Cute Animals, 1 Cool Screen, 8 Different Uses

To promote their new UltraTouch (S8300) phone Samsung made the above video. Samsung states the UltraTouch has a huge, beautiful screen, with many many many uses, some of them (8 to be precise) feature in the video (starring 38 animals according to the YouTube title). The video got over 75,000 views in just two days time.

5. ComputerTan: Desktop Tanning Technology

Are you overworked, tired, and pasty? Too busy to head to the tanning booth? The above video explains all the advantages of the new computer tanning technology. Just head to computertan.com and start tanning. Obviously tanning via your computer is not possible. In fact, Computer Tan is a portal to Skcin, Britain’s skin cancer charity, made by McCann Erickson, and aims to get the message out to the Brits (who are well-known for overexposing themselves to sun).
