1. The Twilight Sage: Eclipse Trailer

The Twilight Saga is a series of romance fantasy films based on four novels by the American author Stephenie Meyer. The third film, Eclipse, opens on June 30, 2010 and on 10 March a preview of the new Eclipse trailer was released in the Twilight YouTube channel. This 10 second preview got viewed over 4.2 million times in one day. The actual trailer (the above video) followed about a day later on 11 March and now has just over 3 million views, and therefore the Twilight: Eclipse trailer (preview) are this week’s undisputed Viral Friday number 1.

2. BMW S1000 RR: Dinner for RR

BMW has this crazy superbike, the S 1000 RR, which is incredibly fast (let BMW put 193 horsepower on two wheels and you’ll go from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9 second). So, how would BMW show you just how fast that is? With a trick! The tablecloth trick that is. Real or fake? Since 5 March over 1.3 million viewers have their opinion on it. By the way; the S 1000 RR works very well on ice as well.

3. iPad TV Commercial

During this year’s Oscars, the first Apple iPad television commercial was shown: a 30-second spot showing us the iPad highlights, featuring the song “There Goes My Love” by the Danish band The Blue Van. Photos, Maps, iTunes, iPod, Safari, Calendar, and Mail, along with iBooks, the iBookstore, and Pages, it’s all there. And will all be available on April 3rd. The commercial is doing very well on YouTube: since last Sunday it generated over 970,000 views.

4. Iron Man 2 Trailer 2

What do you get after Iron Man 1? Why, Iron Man 2 of course. With sequels you can either be pleasantly surprised or very unpleasantly. This one is looking good though, if you’re into iron suits, good guys fighting bad guys and pretty women. I’m sure the 1,688,060 YouTube viewers (since March 7) will agree. In this movie everyone knows the real identity of Iron Man and Tony Stark (his real name) is pushed to spill his invention secrets to the army. He faces the consequences when he doesn’t want to reveal his technologies.

5. Gorillaz – Stylo

The Gorillaz have a new album out and it’s called Plastic Beach. One of the songs on it is Stylo, which is accompanied by this video. It mixes reality with animation, making the Gorillaz look a lot more realistic. A very real person in the video is Bruce Willis, chasing the Gorillaz down an American desert road. The video ends on a surprising note, making the viewer wonder what will happen in the following video. Since March 1 the clip has almost 2 million views on YouTube. To be continued!
