1. World’s Longest Basketball Shot
The guys from DudePerfect have taken shooting hoops to a higher level. Their much-discussed videos are all real but almost unbelievable, like their latest video. Since the 17th of September, the video has been viewed 2,388,591 times.
DudePerfect realized their immense popularity and decided to use it for a good cause. They teamed up with Compassion International, a foundation for releasing children from poverty, and sponsor a child for every 100,000 views their Summer Camp Edition video generates.
2. 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air Vs. 2009 Chevrolet Malibu
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), a 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air was send into a collision with a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu with the speed of 40 mph. Besides being really fascinating viewing; it’s a lesson in how far car safety and protection has approved the past 50 years.
Looking at the new Malibu, the passenger area looks almost entirely intact while the 1959 Chevrolet is heavily damaged. According to safety engineers, the driver of the 2009 Chevrolet Malibu would likely have suffered slight knee injury while the driver of the 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air would have died instantly.
3. How Big Can Football Get?
FIFA, the computer football game since 1993, is about to release its 2010 version. EA Sports called in Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam to make this anthem spot, which had its launched last weekend during the Manchester City v Manchester United match.
In the video you’ll see famed footballers such as Wayne Rooney, Karim Benzema, Xavi, Theo Walcott, Tim Cahill and Bastian Schweinsteiger amongst others as they group up with fans across the globe. The trailer got viewed over 260,000 times on YouTube since last Saturday.
4. Did You Know 4.0
After ‘Did You Know 2.0‘, ‘Did You Know’ the Fat Boy Slim soundtrack, there now is a another official updated version, ‘Did You Know 4.0′. The latest version of the original ‘Shift Happens’ presentation by Karl Fish, Scott McLeod and Jeff Brenman was created together with The Economist for their Media Convergence Forum in October 2009. The video illustrates the changing media landscape, from the decline in traditional media to the continuous rise of digital, social and mobile through facts and figures. The video is full of did you know facts and in a little over 10 days the video got over 291,000 views on YouTube alone.
5. Save The Boobs!
An interesting new campaign to raise awareness on breast cancer, to put it mildly. The Rethink Breast Cancer Initiative just launched a little pool-side music-video appreciation of one white-bikini-clad woman’s assets. Interesting since it seems to both attract and engage the male audience as well. Even with a Booby Ball. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month so why not get started early? Also available is this behind the scenes video of the shoot. Read more on this campaign in this posting.

I love the basketball one, and wasn’t aware those guys had previously had other videos that were also pretty much viral. Great shots!
