Cannonballz Augmented Reality Game
Today I bumped into a fine piece of Augmented Reality work from Zugara. The game is called Cannonballz and is one of the first game I’ve ever seen where you can interact with Augmented Reality which is also connected to your Facebook.
Utilizing their proprietary Motion Capture technology, as well as Augmented Reality & Facebook Connect, Zugara allow anyone with a webcam to physically engage with the game’s environment and appear (with their friends) in the actual game. The good thing about the Cannonballz game is that the user doesn’t need to download any plug-ins to play. All you need is the latest version of Flash and a webcam and you’re good to go.
Last year we saw that Ray Ban already adapted some Augmenetd Reality technology with their Virtual Mirror. We’re looking forward to the first branded game using this fun technology!

OMG!!! it’s so AWESOME!!!
too awesome for words
I thought that while AR is a broad term that it refers more to reality overlay, and this game falls into the category of AV (Augmented Virtuality). Otherwise rad game, thanks for the info.
