Social gaming market had achieved  tremendous growth in the past few years both in terms of new users and also revenues. Today we are going to share an infographic  that gives very good insight about increase in advertising revenues and  percentage of paying game users in social gaming.

It is estimated that U.S. Social Gaming Revenue will  reach $2.18 Billion by 2012.
Social network games , contrary to console and PC game players, consist of 53% women according to a survey conducted by The NPD Group.When you take a close look at the infographic you are going to notice an interesting comparison between biggest Facebook games and prime time TV shows. Social gaming giant Zynga’s famous Farmville has more weekly audience than top TV Shows included in the infographic. Social gaming transaction are also used for charity purposes. Zynga’s charity website helped to raise $3 Million mainly by selling virtual goods.
