100 Years Of Special Effects Viral Video
If you ever thought that elementary school was about learning to read & do math, you should take a look at this video: ‘ Visual Effects: 100 Years of Inspiration’
The video was originally compiled for educational purposes and contains a collection of visual effects. From ‘The Great Train Robbery’ in 1903 to ‘The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button’ in 2008.
In a little over five minutes the video takes you through the past 100 years of amazing special effects in movies. Silent black and whites films, action and sci-fi, it is all included in the overview, which was used as an introduction to a classroom lecture for the fifth grade. However, after being placed on YouTube the video got over half a million views in little over 10 days.
I would have loved to have seen this back in school. Take a look and see that we have come a long way in the past 100 years…
