3LiveShop: The Future Of Online Shopping
Swedish telecom provider 3 recently released their 3LiveShop, which offers one of the most innovative customer experience we have seen so far in E-commerce. Ray Ban’s Virtual Mirror was cool, but the 3LiveShop is brilliant!
The “3LiveShop” a sort of video call through your computer/webcam that blends a seamless sales and service experience in real time, with a real person. Being a former hardware sales representive at Dell, I can imagine that this could really boost their sales!
The sales team at 3LiveShop are equipped with eccentric multitouch workstations (pictured after the break) to let them drag phones and spec sheets around your screen. The result is a cool front-end, but you should definitely check “the back-end” in the video below as well:
So a great way to show you products, showing its features such as different colours, monthly cost and even integrated ecommerce into the mix! You can try 3LiveShop here, I had a small “session” with a nice looking female sales rep, unfortunately I live in The Netherlands, so no sale for her!
That brings me the follow question. As mentioned before, I believe that in theory this can boost sales. But I mainly believe this is more an awareness and branding solution. Can you imagine people all over the world will be using this as a sort of Chatroulette? The fact that I can enter the shop with a Dutch ip-address proofs that this is mainly a branding & awareness campaign…
