Carmen Electra Has A Crush On You!

Ever wish a babe like Carmen Electra would fall for you? Well now’s your chance to make that happen! To promote the upcoming Hollywood spoof film “Meet the Spartans“, a parody of the hit action movie “300” and a sequel to 2007’s Epic Movie, 20th Century Fox has launched an innovative personalized viral marketing campaign called “Carmen has a crush on you” starring Tara Leigh Patrick, professionally known as Carmen Electra.

Carmen Electra Has A Crush On You!

The campaign, created by JetSet Studios, features a viral video where Carmen Electra, who plays Queen Margo in the movie, becomes side-tracked with talk about a new love interest during an interview where she originally intends to plug the film.

Celtra’s on-demand platform known as Fooch Campaign Manager (FCM), which provides Voice, SMS and WAP push connectivity, delivers the ability to personalize Carmen’s story by changing the subject of her love interest to someone they know. Users can enter phone numbers of recipients they designate and thereby send the video interview URL to surprise their friends. In addition, they receive a personalized call invitation to see the movie.

The “Meet The Spartans” site also hosts a viral game called “Beat The Spartans” and the personalized promotion The Spartanizer, which hopes to become a similar viral sensation like OfficeMax’s “Elf Yourself” or Burger King’s “Simsponize Me“.

The movie, set for release on January 25, 2008, is written and directed by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer. The cast in the spoof movie also includes Sean Maguire (Leonidas), Diedrich Bader (Traitoro), Kevin Sorbo (Captain), Ken Davitian (Xerxes) and Method Man (Persian Emissary). The supporting cast includes Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Ellen DeGeneres, Paul Abdul and Britney Spears impersonators.
