Mobile Check-in

While the number of smartphone users highers day after day and hand in hand goes the mobile internet usage, not that many use or consider using various localization services such as Foursquare, Facebook Places or other.

However it’s interesting to see, which places and applications are the most favorite and along goes a nice example of how marketeers can use these in campaigns.

Digital services company Beyond compiled the results of their research into location-based apps, and designed this infographic summarizing the results.

Check-in Data

As you can see, the most checked-in places are restaurants, bars and cafes, but here’s a great example from PKP BBDO Austria for bauMax using Foursquare.
