April Fools: Gmail Tap, Ikea, 8 Bit Maps
The April fools day is “celebrated” all around the world because there’s nothing better as a good prank and joke made on friends, colleagues and of course relatives.
And even though it’s over here are some remarkable ads that should not be missed, as laugher is the best medicine! Really glad that some brands don’t take themselves that seriously and came up with several great ideas.
The first is a product recall from IKEA Australia on left-handed allen keys, asking customers that had received a package with an erroneous key to bring it back and change it for a correct one in their shops.
A lot of users were probably surprised when they checked Google Maps on the first of April and found them in 8-bit version. If you go to Google Maps or click on the “Quest” button in the upper right-hand corner, you can begin your low-res graphic adventure.
And in case you don’t want to just wander around here are recommended activities: Visit the entire list of world landmarks or check the your home or workplace in Quest mode.
Google is known for their pranks and ester eggs, and sure for their Google doodles. Did you ever wanted to have all those YouTube videos? Really all of them? So now you can order them and they will be delivered to you on DVDs. The ultimate YouTube collection!
You can order your own YouTube collection, I want mine on floppy disks.
And last but not least from Google – the Gmail Tap. Bringing back the Morse code for Android and iOS devices as it is, let’s face it, difficult to stick 26 key keyboards to a smart-phone touchscreen.
So double your typing speed with this revolutionary new keyboard and for more have a look at Introducing Gmail Tap site.
