Back To The Future With Nike?

About a month ago NIKE launched a charity auction Back 4 The Future to help with a research of Parkinson’s disease.

It all started with a video featuring Kevin Durant and Christopher Lloyd, than a sneak peak into McFly’s Closet. Revealing 1,500 pairs of the futuristic and famous sneakers, first seen in the movie Back To The Future II.

If there’s one thing real movie fans can’t get enough of, it’s ‘relics’ from favourite movies. Nike pleased the hardcore fans of the cult classic “Back To The Future”.

What was the initial intentions of NIKE with the Back 4 The Future campaign was explained by Michael J. Fox a.k.a. Marty McFly.

The shoes Marty McFly wore in part II never made it to the shops. And still won’t. The 1,500 pairs of the Nike MAG shoes were available for auctioning on Ebay from 9 – 19 September, for prices varying from $ 2,000 up to a mind-blowing $ 37,000.

Among others, Bill Hader, Christopher Lloyd, Tinker Hatfield and Donald Fullilove were involved in the campaign. So far the precise amount raised in the auctions is not known yet, but should be “in millions”.
