Seen Dating: Ford & Spotify!
In this era of technology the strangest marriages can evolve. In this article we will zoom in on the creation of a relationship between music and cars! It’s not an official partnership, but Ford and Spotify are heavily dating on this weekend’s Disrupt Hackathon from Techcrunch.
What’s happening today is that a team from the second biggest car manufacturer in the USA Ford opened their doors to Spotify’s team in order to get some serious action in the car. What they are cooking? Read along!
Ford is already getting lots of eyeballs to their product since they are going to enrich some of their cars with Ford SYNC Applink (powered by Microsoft), a voice-control which basically allows the driver to never let go of the steering wheel. With that voice activation of apps from a smartphone is part of the package.
Now with having Spotify as a mobile app available and Ford SYNCH Applink already capable of controlling some smartphone apps, a small push is needed to come to one of the best and latest inventions which instantly could cause jackpot sounds at many places. The usability of Spotify would increase even more and Ford would have another huge feature which benefits the needs of music loving car drivers.
For the readers who are not familiar with Techcrunch’s Disrupt Hackathon, here is a small wrap up.
