The Battle Of The Daily Deals

Daily deals websites have exploded in just a few years, offering both a great way to save on everyday goods and services and the opportunity for retailers to reach many new customers.

Groupon and LivingSocial are dominating the daily deal market, but Facebook and Google are about to shaken up the market by introducing their own deal propositions.

Groupon and LivingSocial are still earning skyhigh commissions in many countries, but other (niche) players are entering the market with similar propositions with simply lower commissions on deals. Here’s for example a funny one: Visdeal.nl, a daily deal site offering all kinds of deals in the fishing market.

Online MBA has released an interesting Infographic which shows a breakdown of the four biggest players in the field. What do you think what will happen when these 2 giants will introduce their deal propositions?
