A little bit about the research process?
To be as objective as possible, all of the information for the infographic was pulled directly from the websites of each of the sixteen services featured.

When something was unclear, the guys at Socially Stacked personally reached out to companies for clarification.

They then combined all their findings into above infographic which features well-known niche tools across three major categories: Social Messaging – Scheduling, Analytics and Social Landing Pages (promotions/apps).

My Opinion

My former social media agency SocialMedia8 (sold to WPP) once mapped a lot of social tools. Simply because our clients needed help. But that guide to 88 social media and monitoring tools is almost outdated.

Think about selecting the right social monitoring tools for a leading global consumer brand. What markets are important? What tools actually ‘speak’ those languages? How many tools would be needed to cover e.g., 25 core target markets?

How about pricing schemes and features? It can be pretty complicated to do all that research. And why would every brand on this planet need to do that similar research themselves? Do it once, do it right, right?

So we like the infographic. Because it might save you time and money. And because it could improve your social input and output.
