Hadouken!, a band producing ‘grindie’ music (a mix of grime and indie rock), used a compilation of video’s from Youtube, where awesome people doing incredible things, for their new video clip Mecha Love. 3. TRON: LEGACY – Daft Punk ‘Derezzed’
This December the long awaited sequel to TRON will hit the cinema’s. Making Tron: Legacy has taken more than 29 months and in order to keep the crowd happy (and stay top of mind), teasers where dropped online since June 2008. This time with the producers of the soundtrack Daft Punk in it. In three days time the video was viewed more than 800,000 times on the Dutch Disney YouTube channel. Disney released the video worldwide on local YouTube channels.
4. Newsoul Skateboards: Promo ‘You Got Soul’
This video is a promo-video of a Swedish skater named Albert Nyberg, co-founder of the brand Newsoul Skateboards. Newsoul is from four Swedish teenagers. Obviously they play the leading role in this video. The team of New Soul has announced a tour through Sweden to gain more video recordings. Until now, the four young entrepreneurs won’t be complaining about their 220,000 views in 5 days, also have a look at their YouTube channel.
5. Nokia N8: The Commuter
The Nokia N8, What will you do with it? The McHenry Brothers knew what to do. They shot a short film in just four days which was released on the 26th of October and reached more than 122.000 views. This revolutionary film, ‘The Commuter’ staring Dev Patel, Pamela Anderson, Charles Dance and Ed Westwick, was entirely shot in Mobile HD on the Nokia N8 smartphone.
