Coca Cola’s Encourage-Meter For Football Fans
Coca Cola boosted their Copa America sponsorship with a remarkable concept:
El Alentómetro; a big screen where fans could watch the next game of the Argentinean football team… if they make enough noise to keep the image on the screen!
The cheering worked partiatlly. Great for Coke but not good enough for Argentina to go through the quarterfinals and lost against Uruguay.
I really like the idea, but Latin football fans are already well known for their noisy support, I think this concept would definitely work better in a country like mine: The Netherlands! Apparaently we need a minimum of a semi-final or final to go bananas. But you have to admit: we are the best looking football fans!
