FanBoost Lets Fans Become Part Of The Formula E
Formula E gives you the unique opportunity to vote to give your favorite driver a 5-second 40bhp power boost with FanBoost.
Formula E is a new racing championship and the world’s first fully-electric racing series.
The Championship starts in September 2014 through to June 2015 and will compete in the heart of 10 of the world’s leading cities – including London, Beijing and Miami – racing around their iconic landmarks.
Formula E represents a vision for the future of the motor industry over the coming decades, serving as a framework for R&D around the electric vehicle, accelerating general interest in these cars and promoting sustainability.

Formula E l launches#FanBoost
In July, Formula E has launched the ultimate fan engagement concept, that let fans become part of the race: by giving the unique opportunity to vote to give your f favorite driver a 5-second 40bhp power boost on fanboost.fiaformulae.com.
The three drivers with the most votes will each receive one five-second ‘power boost’, temporarily increasing their car’s power from 150kw (202.5bhp) to 180kw (243bhp).

Every time a person votes and changes their vote it can be shared into their Facebook timeline, as a hashtag in their Twitter timeline and on their Sina Weibo timeline.
The FanBoost recipients are revealed 20 minutes before the race starts on the official Formula E website and social media channels.
For me this is the ultimate fan engagement case, as you have to opportunity to really influence the sport. Have you ever experienced watching a game and that you notice that you’re kicking your legs as it was you trying to make that winning goal?
