Here at Viral Friday we have a warm heart for Belgian Creativity and after the perfect viral for Carlsberg Belgium, we have another winner from Belgium. In an effort to promote its inclusion on Belgian TV, the TNT channel and agency Duval Guillaume pulled out all the stops, creating a huge spectacle for an unsuspecting crowd. They placed a big red button in a quiet Flemish square with an arrow that said, “Push to add drama.” When a biker finally pressed the button, a scene of chaos erupted. With this idea and execution it is no wonder that the video reached more than 10 million views within one week.
2. Caine’s Arcade
To promote Caine’s Arcade, an arcade built with cardboards by the 9 year old Caine, his first costumer makes a video of the arcade and the flashmob that was arranged to attract more costumers and puts it online. Within 4 days the video has been viewed more than 1.200.000 times. By the power of viral videos, we call this a major success. The video is created to help Caine’s Scholarship Fund.
3. Titanic SUPER 3D
Do you think Titanic is from the past? Think again! Titanic is back, this time in 3D, SUPER 3D. Watch this ‘nostalgic’ movie and experience everything like you’re in the story. Do you ever wonder how it would feel to get hit by the legendary Titanic ice? This all brings this movie certainly to a next level. 4. La Pire Haleine Du Monde
TicTac came up with a new version of the flash mob for its viral filmed in France. On a square a person is asked for directions. As soon as the person starts speaking, something strange happens… Watch La Pire Haleine du Monde yourself to find out what occurs. Some people doubt the authenticity of this viral, how come there is only one person walking on the square who has nothing to do with the flash mob? Would it all be fake? What do you think? Nevertheless it is a really original version of the well-known flash mob. Plus, it works, the video already has more than 1 million views.
5. Make It Count
How inspiring do you want it to be? This video tells us that we need to take everything life has to offer. This journey starts in New York and continues in Paris, Cairo, the south of Africa, Middle East, South East Asia and then back in New York again. All this takes 10 days. This video is made by Max Joseph and Casey Neistat for Nike Fuel Band. It is another technical innovation by Nike which makes you earn fuel. It shows during sports and daily life how many calories you’ve burnt, how many steps you’ve made and how long you wore the Fuel Band. You can synchronize all this information with your iPod, iPhone and laptop. Now you know who’s the best of your friends in enjoying life to the fullest.
