1. Hunter And Bear’s 2012 Birthday Party
Almost two years ago Tippex came up with an interactive YouTube video that has almost 20 million views until now – A hunter shoots a bear! Now it’s back with a brand new 2012 birthday party video. Interactive? Hell yes! I won’t spoil, go check it out yourself. Will it become another viral hit? No doubts, already 5,5 million views since 11th of April.
What amazes me about Tippex is that such a brand can come up with splendid and simple idea for a product that is placed on your office desk and is nothing special.
Great job Tippex, many should learn from you!
2. Michael Jordan – It’s Not Crazy, It’s Sports
Using a celebrity in a commercial will give you a good boost and eventually make the video viral. ESPN, the worldwide leader in sport, fully understands that but used this in a totally innovative way in their new video. Instead of using the legendary Michael Jordan, they have only “used” his name. Watch this video to experience the confusion when you see a completely random person named Michael Jordan. The video was uploaded on April 15th and within less than a week it has got almost 2,000,000 views. See what famous people, or only their famous names, can do with your video?
Watch here other ESPN videos.
3. IKEA Uppleva
This video viewed more than 1 million times within four days, is by IKEA. It is an informative video, presenting IKEA’s new furniture piece that integrates smart TV and sound system. Uppleva is trying to solve the problems of having thousands of cables behind and around your TV set. Ikea is a really well-known brand, so it is the perfect candidate to create global video campaigns. If you want to see more images of UPPLEVA, you can check out this blog. And when is it available? From summer 2012.
4. Domino’s Pizza Safe Sound
A human engine “sound” on your silent scooter. How difficult do you want it to be? To improve road safety, Domino’s Pizza the Netherlands introduced this human engine sound. These scooters are 100% electric, accordingly they won’t make almost any sound which might be very dangerous in crowded city centers, like in Amsterdam. It’s just a small adjustment in the scooter but the impact is big enough to save lives of the pedestrians. And of course cyclists as well.
The video was launched at April 16th With more than 600,000 views!
5. 2Pac Live At Coachella 2012

One of the biggest viral sensations this week was the “resurrection” of a famous rapper, Tupac. The legendary Tupac made a return at the Coachella music festival. He was revived as a hologram, like the very popular hologram concerts in Japan. The walking-and-talking projection is estimated to have cost about $400,000 and was made by Dr. Dre and James Cameron’s Digital Domain. The video got a lot of exposure on blogs and Twitter. It even made Tupac Hologram an Internet meme. The only minor point was that Coachella keeps on deleting the videos on YouTube. Do they understand the Internet?
